I suppose you have not forgotten, this was the Congress, the only party which fought for the Independence of the Country and also achieved it. There were No other parties then, who sacrificed for the cause of your and our independence.



In Britain the price of Petrol is Rs.96.60 per liter.



Government of India, or the Congress High command has nothing to do with the rise of Petrol prices.So pointing fingers on them is just useless.



Crude Oil is purchased by the Petroleum Companies from the Petroleum producing Countries. Payment is made by them, Not by Government of India.

As such, if the purchasing rate is more, naturally the selling rate will be more.



GOI charges just 2.5% duty on Oil import.

If the Government asks the Petroleum Companies to reverse the price, they will ask subsidy from the Government. Paying subsidy is never a favorable option.World Economy does not favor subsidies.



State governments levy more than 28% sales tax on the Petroleum products sold in the states.If they reduce the Tax to 12% as is charged on most of he products, petroleum prices will fall down to most comfortable level.



But No state Government is agreed to reduce their revenue and simply pass the buck on the Central government.



The opposition parties also play with the sentiments of the public and do not miss any chance to turn the tide against the Center.

They never tell the public what is the actual fact.I pray God, they come to power and show how can they manage.
