No. However, those who come here legally should be welcomed.

They should be allowed into the United States when they do it legally. No one's stopping them from coming. They're just stopping them from taking short cuts.

thats the stupidest question i have ever read. how could someone ILLEGAL be ALLOWED into this country? i know this country needs immigrant workers, but they can take the time to go through the process right. anybody who wants to come into this country just to live off of our money, and then complain about not receiving fair treatment and protest against the country that they illegally entered should not be allowed to stay. if they hate America so much and love Mexico so much then why else would they bother to come here illegally, besides to take our money.

If we don't mind paying $10 a pound for tomatoes from California, then send 'em packing. But many undocumented migrant workers keep farming and other service industries going. Most companies can ill afford to pay higher wages to employ Americans without passing the higher prices on to the consumers, who would rather pay lower prices for foreign-made products. It is a viscious circle which Washington needs to admit has more to do with the staggering trade deficit than it does solely on illegal immigrants.

ILLEGAL ones shouldn't, no. Our country is based on laws and it needs to stay that way. Right now the law says those people shouldn't be here - maybe it needs to change - but that's what is says. Ergo, they should not be here.

Quotas as they are set now make no sense. If people willing to work are allowed to freely immigrate, maybe some of our fellow citizens will get off their fat rear ends and start really working for their paychecks (sorry, just had lousy service at a restaurant for dinner today).

They're going to come, anyway. No quotas on green cards means more taxpaying, hard working members of society.

That's a very technical question which the law makers are trying to solve.

Lou Dobb is strongly against it and so are many democrats as well as Republicans.

Fact is, laws whould be enacted to allow the same migrants to enter the USA legally so as to put an end to this debate about illegal immigrants.
