Do you realize that is already happening? When you get health insurance coverage through a group, the entire groups overall age and health is considered in setting the premiums. the young people in the group pay for the older one. The over all rate for each person in the group may be $300.00 per month, but if each were to be covered individually - the young person's premium would be $150, and the older persons would be higher at about $450.00. But they average the ages and give the group one rate. So many people are already in that spot.

yes,

if i could afford it i would.

i can remember when i was unemployed for a few months and i couldnt get any help with healthcare from the gov't unless i had children or a disability. i dont think thats fair at all. ive held a job all of my teenage and adult life and for them to turn me away like that i was pissed. i feel like i have to be a single mother jobless in order to get help for healthcare. im sure there others that have experienced that before, so if the healthcare reform helps single working adults and not just welfare recipients than i would contribute as much as i can.

Yes, I am willing to pay. You see, I'm Asian. I'm not a born American. But I'm willing to pay towards society. I don't understand what the fuss is all about. It's all about making poor people getting health care and have better quality of life. Cheap people makes me sick.

Taxpayers already contribute to those who don't have health care. It's called Medicare and Medicaid.
